Katrin Arning is a senior research assistant at the Human Technology Centre (HumTec) of RWTH Aachen University.
She is working in interdiciplinary research projects which deal with technology acceptance (HUMIC) and industrial communication processes (IMIP). Her main research interests focus on technology acceptance, user diversity and usability of technical systems, and business process modelling languages.
Katrin studied psychology with a major in work- and industrial psychology and minors in business economics and marketing at TU Darmstadt and RWTH Aachen University. In 2004 she was awarded a doctoral scholarship at RWTH Aachen University. In 2008 she received her PhD in psychology with a thesis on "Training for Older Users of Information- and Communication Technologies." Since 2007 Katrin worked as research assistant at Saarland University, Saarbruecken, in a project dealing with age and mobility (funded by the German Research Foundation). Katrin has further work experience in HR- and Usability Consulting.
