The system modeling group within HumTec EET resorts to "agent-modelling" approaches – (ABM) beside others.

On the one hand ABM is applied to in the mapping of decision-making processes of cooperating or competing parties at the macroscopic level.
E.g. the decision-making entities of certain (economic) areas are represented by agents whose actions are determined by simple game theoretic approaches.

At the microscopic level approaches are being pursued, which use agent-based modelling in order to sub-distribute system sizes. E.g. the development of the prosperity of a particular region will be broken down on a variety of individuals to make this system size accessible to an (ethical) evaluation. The comparison to other approaches, such as  stochastic processes is carried out, also.
