Dr. Harisson und Dr. Evola on workshop in Paris

Dr. Simon Harrison and Dr. Vito Evola from the Natural Media & Engineering group were invited as guest speakers to give a presentation entitled "Methods and strategies for a multimodal corpus analysis. Using ELAN for sound scientific research"at the workshop "Tools and Research based on Language Acquisition Corpora", which took place at the CNRS in Paris on November 18-19.

The goal of the workshop was to discuss tools, research practices, and theories that have arisen to deal with the extensive use of multimodal language corpora of spoken and sign languages.

The event was organized by Christophe Parisse (MoDyCo, INSERM, CNRS), Aliyah Morgenstern (Prismes, Paris 3 - Sorbonne Nouvelle), and Maya Hickman (SFL, CNRS), and funded by the CNRS, GDR "Langue, Langage Oral et Cognition: acquisition et dysfonctionnements - nouvelles approches", scientific director Maya Hickmann.
