WebDisk: Web 2.0 Discourse on Large-scale Technologies: Automatic Detection, Risk Assessment and Targeted Communication


The WebDisk project principal explores weakly-structured Internet discourses such as web blogs. The methodological aim is to develop a tool for the automated acquisition, analysis and evaluation of opinions indicating expressions in web comments (Project Phase 1).

The development focuses on the study of linguistic forms and procedures of opinion generation on the Web. In particular, the findings are to be exploited for investigating the acceptance of large-scale technologies such as energy technology (Project Phase 2).
