Dhana Wolf, M.Sc.

Dhana Wolf studied biology at the RWTH Aachen University and majored in neurobiology. During her M.Sc. studies she worked on a neuroimaging project at the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics at the University Clinic Aachen. Currently, she works as a PhD student for the NeuroPeirce project. She utilizes video and motion capture recordings as stimulus material for fMRI studies. By combinding semiotics, gesture research, psychology and neurobiology she investigates how the interpretation of coverbal gestures is represented in the human brain.

Research interests

• Neural correlates of gesture interpretation
• exploration of neural underpinning of complex social behavior with fMRI
• content-based analysis strategies
