eHealth: Enhancing Mobility with Aging
Researcher from different disciplines, Communication Science, Psychology, Computer Science, Architecture, and Medical Engineering, develop integrative, multidisciplinary models for user-centred design of eHealth systems.
These researchers investigate new concepts for monitoring systems within an intelligent living environment, which is adaptive, e.g. course of disease, situation, living condition, and able to support people individually, e.g. individual user profiles. Furthermore, interdisciplinary concepts are explored, which enhance the independency of older patients with chronic heart diseases and facilitate a longer stay in their familiar home environment. To guarantee a user-centered design, the elderly are integrated in the whole research and development process by applying different methods.
The communicative research focuses user, situation, and technology specific requirements for the linguistic design of novel technologies.
