One offer of interdisciplinary teaching at the RWTH University is the project "Leonardo". The courses offered are open to students from all faculties and are offered jointly by lecturers from different scientific cultures. In this way, students can get to know the different ways of thinking and approaches of various disciplines beyond the boundaries of the departments through joint, interdisciplinary work.

Project Leonardo courses each focus on one social challenge. In its future concept "RWTH 2020 - Meeting Global Challenges", RWTH has set itself precisely this task - the Leonardo project sees itself as a building block in this. It also forms a component of RWTH Aachen University's future concept, "Students at the Center of Excellence", which was funded in the "Excellent Teaching" competition.

More information and current modules can be found on the website of the Leonardo project.
