Online-Kolloquium "Fairness in Machine Learning"

 

As part of the online colloquium of the Computertational Science Studies Lab Aachen with the High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart, Samira Samadi from the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen will give a talk on "Fairness in Machine Learning".

He will give a general talk on this topic for a broad audience, introducing the problem of biases in machine learning models and explaining how to detect these problems. In the concluding discussion, he will briefly discuss what researchers working on fairness in machine learning (and more broadly, ethics in AI) are doing to address these problems and design more ethical machine learning algorithms.

The talk will take place on Thursday, January 21 from 4 - 6 pm.
